Beginnings

Hey, ladies :) Dawn is such a good motivator. We're on the phone and I'm saying how I am going to start posting to the blog "soon" and she says, "Why don't you go join right now. And, post about today, or what you are going to do tomorrow. Just do it, you'll feel good." Or, something to that effect.

So, here I am. I am "recovering" from a surgery I had last week and have been using that as an excuse to eat Reese's chocolate peanut butter eggs and nacho cheese dorritos. Cause, really, I "recovered" after 1 day but I've really been milking it in my mind :P I swear, the checkout line is sometimes such a challenge for me -- I think I'm a little kid sometimes who is whining to their mom, "I wanna candy bar!!" as everyone around them stares and silently judges the mom as she does or does not give in to the screaming. Only, I am the kid AND the mom, and no screaming is involved. Just a silent little addition to my cart that is otherwise filled with strawberries, bananas, tomatoes, chard, bell peppers, etc.

So, one goal for this month is no checkout line treats. Also, I need to make sure to bring my lunch every day to work. I do so well when there are healthy options available to me. I always have ready snacks (mainly bars from our biz and fruit), but it's the savory lunch part I forget to bring. Then McDonald's across the street attracts me. And, I don't even like McDonalds'.

reese get me too. and welcome!! I ate the new giant ones, two of them, on saturday night..no more of that for me, well at least not wasted..geez dawn..
