Thank you for inviting me into the club! This will be my first blogging experience - so I will have to get used to posting every day (or almost every day). Although I have enjoyed my days of denial I am very glad to get clear about what my goals are and begin working towards them with the support of my friends.
I suppose a good place to start is with admitting what I think are my food offenders are: salted butter, mac and cheese, bagels with cream cheese, and any food after about 8pm because I am too tired or too lazy to keep my portions in check. I imagine this list may grow as I pay more attention to what I put in my mouth and what things tempt me.
My food intake for the day: for breakfast I had instant oatmeal w/cranberries an orange (it was so good! it was called a cara cara navel orange and it is pink inside!) and a chi with NF milk; for lunch I had a turkey sandwich with tomato, lettuce, mustard and cheese on francese. Ah cheese - I love it and a melt is just not the same without it. For dinner I will be having a salad with a light dressing a cup of vegetable soup and a smoothie (1/2 a banana, about a cup of blueberries, a bit of yogurt and cold fruity tea).
Today I walked two miles and I am planing on doing my made-up yoga tonight that takes about 30 min. My goal is to do this 4-5 times a week and mix in some jogging in my walks.
Reflection on my day: could have omitted or reduced the cheese in my sandwich and had whole wheat bread instead. And the chi - I will have to check what is in the one I had because it was nice and sweet!
