New Things

Thanks Dawn for inviting me to join the blog. A blog is a new thing for me. Lot's of new things for me this week. Joining the blog, going to my first WW meeting last night, counting points, etc..., The meeting was really good and informative. After figuring out what my points should be, I thought I had a lot, 25 points. But then after going home and figuring out how many points my favorite breakfast sandwich has, 10 points, I realized I will be giving up quite a few things. But I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the fact that I really want a heathlier life style. I bought a few WW snacks at the meeting and their oatmeal. This morning I put together a sack for work today. Oatmeal for breakfast, a couple of snacks, some hiccama, and a greapfruit. I'll probably have a salad for lunch from the cafeteria (the hard part will be to keep away from the blue cheese/ranch dressing I love, and use Itailian-that's going to hurt). Tonight I plan on having a WW frozen dinner. I am planning on taking a walk today for exercise.

Hey Julie!! Welcome...let's see, in regards to finding out about the W points, the only positive I can say, well there are more then one, but a big one for me was realizing how high points things can be...let's talk about the breakfast sandwich, do you make it? or where is it from? maybe we could figure out a way to revamp it... and good job on bringing snacks to work, that's key...also on the salads make sure you add some cooked egg whites, or chicken or turkey for some protien, it also adds a little flavor so you won't miss the dressing and cheese, lemon is good on salad, and trader joes has some great FF ones a basalmic and soy ginger that you could bring to work if they don't have anything in regards to good dressings at the office..keep it up!!
